Vidya Deevena Amount Release Date: A Boon for Students in Andhra Pradesh

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has always been proactive in ensuring that students from economically weaker sections receive education without any financial constraints. One such initiative is the Vidya Deevena scheme, which aims to provide financial assistance to students from poor families pursuing various courses in both government and private colleges.

The scheme was launched in 2019 and has already benefited thousands of students across the state. Under this scheme, eligible students receive a fixed amount towards their tuition fees, hostel fees, and other academic-related expenses. The scheme has provided immense relief to students who were struggling to pay their fees due to financial constraints.

Vidya Deevena Amount and Eligibility:

Under the Vidya Deevena scheme, students from economically weaker sections pursuing various courses such as ITI, Polytechnic, Engineering, Medicine, MBA, MCA, and other professional courses are eligible for financial assistance.

The amount provided under the scheme varies depending on the course and the college. For students pursuing engineering, pharmacy, and other professional courses, the government provides up to Rs. 1,20,000 towards their tuition and other academic-related expenses. For students pursuing MBA and MCA, the government provides up to Rs. 20,000 towards their tuition fees.

Similarly, for students pursuing polytechnic and ITI courses, the government provides up to Rs. 10,000 towards their tuition and other academic-related expenses. The scheme also covers hostel fees and other expenses such as books, uniforms, and equipment required for the course.

The eligibility criteria for the scheme are as follows:

  1. The student must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  2. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
  3. The student must have secured admission in a recognized college for a professional course.

Vidya Deevena Amount Release Date:

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has always been prompt in disbursing the funds under the Vidya Deevena scheme. In 2021, the government released Rs. 4,000 crores towards the scheme, benefiting over 10 lakh students across the state.

The government has set up a dedicated portal for the students to apply for the scheme. Once the application is verified, the government disburses the funds directly to the college, ensuring that the students receive the amount on time.

The government has also set up helplines and grievance redressal mechanisms to address any issues faced by the students regarding the scheme. The government has also warned the colleges against collecting additional fees from the students, stating that strict action will be taken against the colleges found violating the rules.

The Vidya Deevena scheme has been a boon for students from economically weaker sections in Andhra Pradesh. The scheme has ensured that no student is denied education due to financial constraints. The government has also ensured that the funds are released on time, and the students receive the amount without any hassle.

The scheme has not only provided financial assistance to the students but has also encouraged them to pursue higher education and become self-sufficient. The government must continue its efforts to ensure that every eligible student receives the benefits under the scheme, and no student is left behind due to financial constraints.
