On Wednesday, it was reported that actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik had passed away at 66 in Delhi. His death was mourned by many of his friends in the Bollywood industry, including Anupam Kher and Subhash Ghai.
Satish Kaushik was a well-known Indian actor, director, and screenwriter. Born on April 13, 1956, in Delhi, India, Satish Kaushik spent his childhood in Karol Bagh. Satish graduated from Kirori Mal College in Delhi before attending the National School of Drama.
The mortal remains of Satish Kaushik were expected to reach Mumbai soon, and his funeral was scheduled to take place shortly after that. This news has saddened many fans and colleagues, as Satish Kaushik was a well-known and respected figure in the Indian film industry.

Satish was rushed to a hospital in Gurugram. Still, unfortunately, preliminary examination suggests that he died of a heart attack and breathed his last before he reached the hospital, according to police sources. There is no suspicion surrounding the 66-year-old actor's death, as confirmed by sources in Delhi South West police. However, further examination will provide more information on the cause and time of death.

Mr. Kaushik had arrived in Delhi the day before to celebrate Holi with his friends. Just a day prior, he had attended the Holi party at Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi's Mumbai home and posted joyful photos on social media.
Police are still investigating where Mr. Kaushik was during the daytime, but it is known that he was at the farmhouse in Bijwasan when he started feeling unwell. He was taken to Fortis Hospital, Gurugram, but unfortunately, he could not.
His manager Santosh Rai, who rushed him to the hospital, told the news agency ANI that he had complained of breathlessness around 12.10 am after he slept at 10.30 pm.
As the patient had come from Delhi, the hospital informed Delhi Police, and they moved the body to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for autopsy. The postmortem was conducted the next day, and Mr. Kaushik's family handed over the body.
The police are in touch with Mr. Kaushik's companions, who took him to the hospital for further investigation.
He played memorable characters such as Ashok in the 1983 cult classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, for which he also wrote dialogues. He also played the cook named 'Calendar' in the Anil Kapoor-Sridevi starrer Mr. India. His death has left the Indian film industry in shock, and tributes have been pouring in for the beloved actor-director.
He made his acting debut with the 1982 film "Woh Saat Din," but his role as Ashok in the 1983 cult classic "Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron" brought him critical acclaim. He also wrote the dialogue for the film. He went on to appear in several other successful films, including "Ram Lakhan," "Saajan Chale Sasural," and "Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain," to name a few.
Kaushik also direct several films, including "Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja," "Prem," and "Mere Baap Pehle Aap." He was also known for his work on the small screen, having directed and acted in popular TV shows like "Flop Show," "Chunauti," and "Mr. India."
In addition to his work in the film industry, Kaushik was also a theater actor, having acted in several plays, including the popular one-person show, "Saiyyan Bhaye Kotwal."
Kaushik was a beloved figure in the Indian film industry, known for his wit, humor, and warmth. His sudden death at age 66 has left his colleagues and fans in shock, and tributes have been pouring in from all over the country.
